MADONNA 1986 PERSONAL BIRTHDAY CARD FROM ALEX McARTHUR

A super scarce one of a kind 1986 personal birthday card from Alex McArthur to Madonna. This 7 x 5 inch colourful greeting card features a cover image "On the Temple Steps" by Edward Poynter and was gifted by Alex to Madonna via Madonna's long-time publicist 'Liz Rosenberg'. Alex was Madonna's love interest / boyfriend in the "Papa Don't Preach" music video and judging from the card he was also keen to extend that to real life.

The card is in an envelope that reads "Personal Shit! Don't Open It - Madonna only" which is written in "Liz Rosenberg's" handwriting and on the back also reads "Sherry please give this to Melissa Crow - Private" .... That envelope is subsequently placed into a larger envelope that reads "Personal Confidential Madonna" also in "Liz Rosenberg's" handwriting.

Alex McArthur has been a film & tv actor for the last four decades starring in numerous productions like "Desperado" and was cast as Madonna's boyfriend for the 1986 music video "Papa Don't Preach" which incidentally went to number one on the US singles chart on Madonna's birthday "16th August" which is when this card was gifted from Alex to Madonna.  Inside the card is inscribed with "Happy Birthday to a Classic Lady" and Alex has added a long loving birthday message which would have left Madonna in no doubt about his intentions.

We have watermarked the inside text however here is a small excerpt from the last paragraph  "I love you as a little girl, and I love you as a ferocious woman, I love your breasts, I love your eyes, I love you Madonna and I want you so bad it's a taste in my mouth" ..... "you have my love, now do something with it."   Alex 

This item comes directly from the Warner Bros. offices via a former employee and was won at auction with an abundance of paperwork from Madonna's long-time publicist "Liz Rosenberg". A unique birthday card given to Madonna from the actor who played her boyfriend in the iconic "Papa Don't Preach" video & as you can see also features a personal and rather seductive message from the actor to Madonna.

A genuine original & one of a kind piece of Madonna history now  almost 40 years old. See the last photo which shows Alex in the video and also note the text has been watermarked and 1stopmadonnashop does not appear on the actual item text.
