A white cotton dress from the wardrobe of Madonna as 'Gloria Tatlock' for the movie "Shanghai Surprise" (HandMade Films 1986) which starred the newlyweds Madonna & Sean Penn with costume design by Judy Moorcroft. (no labels present)

This is an actual costume issued to Madonna for wear in the movie, the dress has hand painted details to the front & back and doesn't have frog closures, it has snap popper button fasteners (see film image stills of Madonna), it comes together with a wardrobe bag which has a label inscribed "3x white cotton chong sams - Shanghai Public Baths" which generally means there were three of the same items issued to Madonna for the film, Also included is a German publicity image.

Item donated to "The Material World Foundation" by the "George Harrison Estate" (of the Beatles who directed the movie in 1986 with his company which was "HandMade films") for auction at a highly reputable US auction house.

As further provenance we will include the auction display description card & auction number tag as well as a copy of the invoice from one of the worlds biggest memorabilia auction houses who auctioned this on behalf of the foundation.
